Lexie is a 16.3hh TB. She originally came to HUHA in 2015 and was adopted out as a paddock pet. Unfortunately her new owner became too unwell to care for her and her paddock buddy anymore, so she came back to her HUHA family.
Lexie is around 16 years old and we don’t know very much about her history unfortunately. We know she never raced and she doesn’t look like a brood mare, so it’s a bit of a mystery as to what she has been up to all this time!
She is quite a character, a very food-focused girl with a big heart. She is easy to handle, good for feet, dentist and will float with a little persuasion (it’s not her favourite past time!). She has a bit of a stubborn streak but such a big heart to go with it. She is only suitable as a paddock pet now as she does have some stiffness in her back legs.
If you are keen to know more about Lexie, please get in touch with us at firstname.lastname@example.org. She is currently on the Kapiti Coast.
Thank you Jo Moore Photographer for the lovely photographs of Lexie
