Are you looking for a small dog but never seem to see one on the HUHA adoption page, no matter how often you look?
No, HUHA is not sizist. We often rescue small dogs, have small dogs surrendered or get asked to help re-home them. Life in a shelter, with all those big dogs, can be too much for a little dog to cope with, along with what else is going on in their wee lives, so they are usually fostered out with our special small dog families. Our adoption photos are usually the lovelies from the Otaki shelter and so how are you to know if there is a small dog just waiting for you?
This is how! Give us a ring on (04) 392 3232 or email us on firstname.lastname@example.org and we can tell you of any dogs we know about and take down you details and add you to the “Small Dog Home” list. That way, if we have some in foster care or know of any in homes we’re helping, we can let you know (and if not, we have you on our list when they turn up).
Never hesitate to get in touch – putting dogs that need homes with great families is what we are always wanting to do. These are the calls we’re always looking forward to.
